This short presentation of the homepage EPals.com by two students will give you a short overview of the topic. You will get to know some of the major features, functions and opportunities. How is it applicable in school and how does it facilitat learning? If you are intrested in this concept you can get an impression and later have a look at the different homepages I found. |
Epals.com seems to be a very professional homepage. You have to register to access the different contents. There are projects and possible teacher collaborations. It is quite complex, so it takes some time to make oneself familiar with the homepage. This homepage works with different schools and participants. Fourteen German schools participate in the exchange. It seems less professional but maybe not as complex (for one time usage) This was the first site I found online that gave me the inspiration for this entry. It might not be the most professional homepage and I am not sure how suitable it is for an educational context, but it can easily connect people with different languages, wanting to improve another language. It is quite easy to connect and to chat. If students have a certain internet proficiency and are able to judge other people's approaches appropriately this could be a nice additional learning tool. |
